Let's Go Wild
#148: 19 April 2026 Abundance is real
Peace, not just the absence of war but a state of being in right relationship with others (as represented by this bee above) and with Nature, has been my priority as long as I can remember. I came of age near the end of the undeclared war in Vietnam, and in the midst of the undeclared war on anyone who was identified as being foreign to the dominator class of America which continues to this day. Modern is not about peace and unity; its model is domination and exploitation.
While I lament war in general, suffer its economic costs, pay its moral price, a deeper concern is how we (as a community) continue to meekly submit to our warring, wasteful, destructive and arrogant government. Yet I am encouraged, as Wild becomes more obviously transformational and healing with every bomb dropped and every relationship sacrificed on the altar of phantom wealth. Kinship – energetic, relational, Natural – is the Wild way. In the dead broke and dis-united States, many Americans sense this. We have not begun to contemplate exactly what dead broke and disunited really means, but the ultimate collapse of Modern due to its predicaments, illogic, and shattered relationships has begun.
The trauma this engenders is NOT individual, separate, or even “just mine” to heal. I posit at this point, our focus has been on trying to heal and restore Wild values to Modern over several decades. More recently, some have tried to hospice the end of Modern, as we foresaw its impending collapse. This year, 2026, is the end of the end of Modern; this is great news for those of us who have worked to transform culture into a peaceful, cooperative, relational and natural heart-full space. We can now get to work creating, healing, and manifesting a new Wild experience of our world. It is time to change gears and release the work to save Modern; now we build our Wild future. Speak up, seek and provide healing, support each other because this will be a messy, inconsistent few years of struggle, as we dodge the ramifications of collapse.
There’s this strange idea floating around that the human body is somehow broken, like it needs constant intervention just to function normally. But step back for a second. The human body has spent thousands of years adapting to real food, sunlight, movement, clean air, and proper rest. That’s the environment it understands. That’s what it’s designed for. That’s Wild. Now compare that to Modern: ultra-processed food, artificial everything, sitting all day, then sleeping poorly, constant stress levels through the roof. Then we act surprised when things start going wrong. So we throw more Modern things at the body instead of asking a simpler question: “What happens when we actually give it what it was built for?” This isn’t about being perfect. It’s about being honest. Because most people don’t need something new, they need to return to something old, something Wild.
And it is not “just about health”. In myriad ways, Modern inverts the real and creates something phantom. It could be the “paper” gold, the “paper” silver, the “paper” oil prices that diverge from the real value of the physical version of these assets. Or it could be a cultural, not economic, inversion:
Those who claim to be tolerant are often the most intolerant.
Those that claim to be enlightened are often the most ignorant.
Those who claim to be open minded are in fact the most closed to new ideas and differing viewpoints.
Those who claim to be religious often are the furthest from Spirit.
Those who shout loudest about inclusion often exclude the most.
Those who speak of diversity often demand conformity.
Those who claim to follow science often refuse to question it.
Those who talk about compassion often show none when challenged.
Those who claim to protect children often undermine parental authority.
Those who say “trust the experts” often ignore lived experience.
Those who claim to fight misinformation often censor discussion.
Those who say “be kind” are often the quickest to attack.
Those who claim to stand for truth often cannot tolerate questions.
Those who claim to be the most educated are often the most indoctrinated.
Those who claim to value individuality often punish those who stand apart.
Those who claim to be informed often just repeat what they’ve been told.
Those who claim to be on the “right side of history” rarely question who is writing it.
It’s getting real, more real than any time since the 1960’s experience when many thought we could transform, when many thought we had transformed, Modern into a caring and spiritual community of freedom and peace. This time is similar yet different. Technology has worked to our detriment, severing real relationships, building fake communities online, while monitoring and controlling thought and speech in the name of individual safety. But the result has been the same: a concentration of domination to the point of death; first of people and Nature, and now entire cultures and our beloved planet. That is the ultimate choice; Modern and death, Wild and life. It’s time to Be Wild my friends. No more delay, waiting to see who wins, or paying for the death of others for “our safety”. Modern is dead. Long live Wild.
Here’s a bonus:
…because Modern is built on deep delusion
