Let's Go Wild
#162: 26 July 2026 Preface 4 of 4
Science is extraordinary. But historically, it has been built to zoom in: to isolate, reduce, measure, identify the single mechanism, because it is based solely on “objectivity” and a belief that at the bottom of everything is a tiny bit of “solid” that can be manipulated by humans. Consciousness, subjective as it must be, is not relevant in the Modern view. Modern struggles with the idea of emergence: that thing that appears between parts; the lichen that is neither fungus nor algae alone; the awareness that exists in relationship, not in isolation; the wisdom available in the space between the noticing and naming. If Quantum Physics demonstrates conclusively that awareness is everything and nothing is solid, then it cannot possibly be true as that would upend Modern immediately. I write this book for people who can hold a sense of the whole without fear, knowing that what is in this Modern moment cannot last forever.
I feel a need to insert caveats here. We are experiencing the initial rush of transformation to society and wisdom that is due to the increased use of artificial intelligence (AI). When I encounter new information, or a new interpretation of known information, that contradicts my own beliefs, I will quickly demand to know the source of the conflict, the source of the new story. Combine this with the initial difficulties, when AI actually “makes up” sources (the so-called “hallucinations”) or cites websites, books, or science studies that are themselves fraudulent.
I make some effort, although not complete, to cite sources or give credit to authors whose work I have read on the Internet or in their books. But as the info is either already purchased or available free, I do sometimes make minor edits to focus the information on the topic at hand. There are also sections that are not just very new ideas and science, but very deep, unexpected, and terminology-dense. They don’t always track well with the existing worldview; they take some patience and openness to fully feel into them, even if you end up rejecting them after processing. I try to explain in easy-to-understand ways, but sometimes reading the deep passages will inspire you to recognize truth, or spot it soon after, or even connect deeper to something already in your experience that adds meaning and purpose to your experience. As with everything, please see how it feels when you hear something totally new and puzzling; it might turn out to be profound.
This is intended to reach people who are very curious and willing to take in new perspectives while not having to accept them without consideration. I have a deep sense that, like the caterpillar making its cocoon, we cannot possibly know what the outcome of transformation will be. The caterpillar can’t imagine what it means to fly; instead, it may only know it is dying. Similarly in Modern, we can’t know how embracing Quantum Physics and ancestral healing will change our myths and stories, and birth a new consciousness. But we will never know, unless we give it a chance, a fair hearing, a practice.
If this book has a mission statement, it is this:
The past is not sealed. At every scale
— quantum, biological, psychological, mythological, cosmological —
evidence suggests that what came before remains available
to transformation by what comes after.
The healing work in our present reaches deep into our past.
This is not metaphor. It is Divine structure.
In human life, pain is mandatory yet suffering is optional. We all have traumatic experiences that scar us for life; when I am traumatized I can work to learn from the experience and heal or I can suffer and share that suffering with those close to me. We use story myth, culture, and tradition in sharing, but there are always ways to heal and not be stuck in the pain more than necessary. Our Newtonian, Modern science is incomplete and wrong. As one hint here, it gets time itself wrong. Time is not an arrow going only one direction, future. It’s more like an ocean, where we sit on the top of a wave and call it “now” when all the rest of time is nearby in any direction. We are hurt by our ancestors’ trauma; but we can do our healing of that pain and simultaneously heal our ancestors of theirs. Nothing is non-local; nothing is separate. Because All is One, Mother Earth (Gaia) has awareness, pain, and wants healing too. Gaia is also a healer in her own right, sending guides, energy, desires, and information to help us. Myths, stories, and language (including non-verbal cues) are how we heal. If we are open to healing and transformation, this human caterpillar can craft a chrysalis and burst out ot the cocoon as a divine butterfly. I can’t tell you what that life is moment-to=moment, nor could the caterpillar describe what is would be like to fly. But I can certainly say it is possible and available to those with open heart and soul who are willing to do the work. That’s the core of Unsealing Our Past.
We each find our own path to the light; read nothing here as a demand that you agree or act based on what I write here. Often, just seeing a thing is possible is enough to allow its manifestation even if you don’t completely understand how or why. We can all have a voice in what comes after Modern; now is the time to have this conversation.
